RAHIM YAR KHAN - Clerks held protest as Anti Corruption Establishment officials arrested a clerk of the DCO Office domicile branch "red-handed when he was taking bribe".

After the arrest, the All Pakistan Clerks Association, Rahim Yar Khan members rushed to ACE Office, pelted stones and chanted slogans against the ACE officers and blocked the City Centre Chowk after burning tyres.

Earlier, Civil judge Imran Chughtai and ACE Bahawalpur circle officer Nasir Mehmood Ghouri raided the domicile branch and arrested Shehzad Ashique when he was taking bribe and shifted him to ACE local office. Meanwhile, the Apca office-bearers and members gathered in the ACE Office and started protesting in favour of their colleague and against ACE officers.

They pelted stones and bricks at ACE office and demanded the release of their colleague. Civil judge called the police force to control the law and order but police remained silent. When clerks increased their pressure on ACE office, more police force reached from Police Station A Division which sent the Apca members back to the chowk where the clerks burnt the tyres.
