KARACHI – Cathay Pacific Airways released combined Cathay Pacific and Dragonair traffic figures for September 2012that show passenger numbers, load factor and capacity all declining year on year. However, cargoand mail tonnage showed positive growth for the first time this year, says a press release.Cathay Pacific and Dragonair carried a total of 2,245,995 passengers in September- a drop of 0.4pc compared to the same month in 2011. The passenger load factor fell by 1.5 per entage points to78.2pc, while capacity for the month, measured in available seat kilometres (ASKs), declined by 2.1pc.For the year to date, passenger numbers have risen by 5.9pc compared to a capacity increase of 4.9pc.
