KU Day Care Centre

KARACHI – Karachi University (KU) signed a memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Women’s Development to initiate a Day Care Centre at the university.Addressing the ceremony, KU Vice Chancellor said that community based involvement was mandatory for the success of any project and KU was keen to facilitate its faculty members and research fellows in every respect. Day care centre is an eagerly awaited project of KUTS that addresses the needs of female faculty and staff members, said the Karachi University Teachers' Society (KUTS) President Dr MutahirIt will follow a strict code of conduct for the children of KU staff members so that they could feel relaxed and concentrate on their professional responsibilities, he added.As per the MoU, the University has arranged and renovated one of its residential houses for the day care and will be responsible for the electricity bills only. While other expanses and facilities will be provided by the Women's Development Department. The Director Women's Development Department also ensured complete support in other projects of KU and KUTS as well. The inaugural ceremony of the Day Care Centre will be held soon.
