FAISALABAD - Use of vote is a national obligation which paves way for strengthen democracy, said Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (Fesco) BoD Chairman Ch Nadeem Aftab Sindhu while addressing a seminar in connection with National Voters' Day here on Wednesday.
He pointed out that people were the mainstay of any civilized society while democratic system ensured their active participation in managing the affairs of the state. He said that voters should use their right and elect their true representative.
He welcomed the government decision to observe October 17 as voters day. He said that maximum turn out in elections would not only reflect the confidence of people in the electoral process but also strengthen democratic values.
