LAHORE – School of Visual Arts & Design (SVAD) at Beaconhouse National University (BNU) joined hands with Sungi Development Foundation and Bunyad Foundation to mobilize a team of thirteen BNU students of Textiles and Jewelry and Accessory departments to conduct a customized training programme in skills and product development for 200 women in Alipur, a district in Southern Punjab, says a press release. The students delivered the trainings under the supervision of Mr. Faseeh Saleem and Ms. Rohma Khan both faculty members of SVAD with support from Mr. Asif Hamdani, a technician at the school. The Punjab Skill Development Fund sponsored the initiative and helped screen the participants of the training programme.
