PESHAWAR - Awami National Party (ANP) Friday categorically said it would not join Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) federal government. However, it would continue its struggle for strengthening democracy and democratic institutions.

Acting Provincial General Secretary of ANP Aimal Wali Khan rejected media reports about joining federal government, offered by the PML-N, and said categorically that ANP is not going to join the federal government.

Neither the PML-N has offered ANP to join federal government nor we have such intention, Amil Wali said in a press statement issued here from Bacha Khan Markaz. He said that the ANP would continue to play its genuine opposition role.

Aimal Wali, son of the ANP Chief Asfadyar Wali Khan, said that the party would continue its struggle for upholding rule of law and constitution in the country.
