Islamabad - On the directions of Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) Maroof Afzal, the estate wing has started taking possession of land for long delayed project of Kuri Model village.

The CDA on Friday demolished 10 built-up properties in Kuri village and Rehara area and took possession of the land. Compensation would be paid within two days to those affectees only who will hand over the possession of their built-up properties to CDA for demolition and whose award was announced in 1968. Besides, these affectees would also be allotted plots in Kuri Model village simultaneously in lieu of the demolished built-up properties.

According to award of 1968, the CDA had acquired 2,900 acres of land but the affectees had not handed over the possession of land to the CDA and the matter of Kuri village landed in court. However, after disposal of litigation in courts, work on Kuri Model village has been started.

The CDA has shown keen interest and taken concrete measures to commence work on all the stalled projects of immense importance including Park Enclave. On the directions of Chairman CDA Maroof Afzal, the development work of Park Enclave would start soon. All those projects, which remained shelved, have been prioritised by the present regime on its agenda.
