After been left out of the Pakistan’s squad for Test series against Australia in UAE, fast bowler Mohammad Amir has been dropped from the national T20 side as well.
The fast bowler has also been left out of T20 squad for the 3-match T20I series against Australia, which will be played on October 24, 26 and 28 in Abu Dhabi and Dubai respectively.
Amir’s recent form in International cricket is far from encouraging because he has gone wicket less in his last five ODIs and managed to take only three wickets since the final against India of last year’s Champion Trophy.
A 30-year-old medium pace Waqas Maqsood has been called up as a replacement of Mohammad Amir in T20 squad. Maqsood was rewarded a spot in the 15-member T20 squad for series against Australia for his recent impressive performance in domestic cricket and playing for Pakistan ‘A’ team in recent series against New Zealand.
