LAHORE - Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has ordered an impartial inquiry into the death of a Christian youth, Robert Fanish Masih, in Sialkot Jail. In the instructions issued to the chief secretary, he observed that irrespective of its nature, an incident of this kind in the district jail reflected administrations inefficiency. He further directed the chief secretary to ensure a thorough investigation into the case keeping in view the requirements of the justice. It may be mentioned that District and Sessions Judge Sialkot Tariq Iftikhar has been appointed to probe into the alleged suicide of the detained youth in jail. Meanwhile, talking to electronic media, Shahbaz has said that a judicial officer having a very good repute has been assigned the responsibility to hold inquiry. He promised to honour the findings of the report that is to be submitted in few days.
