SEHWAN SHARIF (PPI) The floodwater gushing out of the Manchhar Lake after inundating Shahbaz Airport Sehwan had entered the Pak-Arab Refinery pumping station. All types of traffic on the Indus Highway has also been suspended, as the floodwater has damaged three bridges on this important road between Dadu and Sehwan. According to details, floodwater after devastating some 500 villages of seven union councils of Taluka Sehwan including UC Jhangara, UC Boobak and UC Chhanna and inundating Sehwan Airport entered PARCO refinery pumping station. Sources said six to seven feet water was standing in the refinery pumping station limits. The floodwater was heading towards the LS embankment, where authorities were planning to divert it into River Indus by giving a cut to the embankment. In this regard, senior civil and military officers on Friday visited the LS Embankment and reviewed the arrangements. Meanwhile, Army vehicles and boats also remained busy in the area on Friday to shift villagers to relief camps.
