LAHORE Cricket fans will see former greats in action as Dubai Super Sixes Corporate Cricket League gets underway from October 1 at Dubai Sports City International Cricket Stadium. The tournament concludes on October 15. The tournament will feature top players like Pakistans legendary pacer Wasim Akram and wicket-keeper Moin Khan, South African all rounder Lance Klusener, and Sri Lankas Aravinda de Silva and Roshan Mahanama. Indias Vinod Kambli, Venkatesh Prasad and Rohan Gavaskar will also take part in the tournament. According to the rules of the tournament, each team comprises six players and two substitutes, while the organisers would provide five neutral fielders. This will be the biggest 'Sixes tournament in Dubai with 48 teams confirming their participation. Cricket appeals to a broad segment of the people in UAE and hence we decided to support this event, said Vipen Sethi, chief executive officer of the Landmark Group. This format will be a permanent fixture of the Dubai crickets sports calendar, Arshad Zaheer, the managing director of Crayons Communications, said.
