LAHORE – Three more dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals of the City on Monday. One patient each was admitted to the Mayo Hospital, Children’s Hospital and Syed Mitha Hospital.

Meanwhile, Nishter Town Dengue Control Committee MNA Naseer Bhutta said on Monday that the youth, NGOs and students should extend full cooperation to the government for eradicating dengue virus and join the ongoing awareness campaign. He said the government was extending every possible support to the students and educational institutions for holding seminars and walks in this regard.

Bhutta expressed these views at awareness seminars organised at the Government Girls High School, Chowk Shahidon Wala, Kot Lakhpat, and Government Girls College, Kahna. He said students could inform the society about the preventive steps against dengue virus in a better way and positive results could be achieved. He said students were apprising the people of spray and precautionary measures against dengue in individual and collective communication; while informing the people that dengue is a curable disease.

Meanwhile, presiding over the town administration meeting, Bhutta directed the town administration to continue the efforts to remove debris and wastage from the union councils located in rural areas.
