ISLAMABAD All Pakistan CNG Association has decided to meet tomorrow (Wednesday) to devise their strategy against the rising trend of CNG prices in the country. Talking to online here on Monday Chairman All Pakistan CNG association (APCNGA) Ghiyas Paracha said that after recent increase of Rs 6.20 in the price of CNG is unjustified and unfair with the already price stricken masses of the country.  He said that this increase would not favour the interest of common man and will boost inflation in the country thus directly affecting lives of masses.

Paracha said that it is very unfortunate that government has given the authority to Pakistan State oil (PSO) to regulate the prices of CNG as with the prices of petroleum products PSO increases the prices of CNG.  He said that CNG sector is paying Rs 1110 as tariff while other sector including industry is paying Rs 510 tariff , therefore, being largest payer government should facilitate CNG sector. Ghiyas Paracha alleged that being a regulator of this sector Oil and Gas regulatory Authority (OGRA) is not working according to its given mandate and behaving like steps mother with this important sector. He said that during last one and half year not a single project of CNG has been initiated from the authority which is unjust with CNG sector. He said that government is working to roll back the CNG sector therefore we have decided to meet and devise strategy to save this important sector. Chairman APCNGA emphasized the leaders of political parties and civil society to raise their voice against the inflation in the prices of CNG sector. He said that people from all the social segments should come forward and force the government to withdraw this increase the restore the old prices.
