ISLAMABAD – Chairman Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL) Abdul Hameed has expressed deep grief over the death of prominent Fiction Writer Hajira Masroor.
In his condolence message Abdul Hameed said that Mrs. Hajira Masroor’s books are great asset for Urdu short story literature. She was an active member of progressive writers and wrote many rememberable short stories. She belonged to a literary family and was the sister of renowned fiction writer Khadija Mastoor(late) and renowned poet Khalid Ahmad. Abdul Hameed said that Hajira Masroor’s demise is a great loss to literature. Abdul Hameed, Chairman PAL prayed for the salvation for the soul of Hajira Masroor and patience for their siblings.
