I would like to draw attention of the concerned authorities to the dire need of a pedestrian bridge at Faizabad, Rawalpindi on IJP Road. At this main junction along the twin cities, both sides of the road are busy; there are many bus stops and markets located there. A huge number of people have to cross the road daily at this busy point. The vehicles at this point never stop and taking a step to cross the road is equal to jumping in front of a fast moving car. This seven lane wide road is always busy making it a life threatening process for pedestrians who want to cross the road to do so. Many women, children and elderly people stand for a long period of time to cross the road. The installation of a pedestrian bridge at this point is an urgent necessity. IKRAM ABBASI, Rawalpindi, September 17.
