ISLAMABAD - The Supreme Court on Monday adjourned hearing of the case pertaining to allegations of journalists taking bribe, till Sept 27
Talking to media persons outside the Supreme Court building‚ the lawyer of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said the court Monday gave a framework within which the parties concerned would present their arguments in the case.
The lawyer said he presented the documentary evidence to the court to refute the allegations Monday.
He said the accusations of distribution of four billion rupees out of secret fund of the ministry were baseless and were leveled without going through budgetary documents.
He said the ministry does not bribe journalists but provide financial assistance to those deserving it.
