Tuwairqi installs RO plant



LAHORE – The country’s largest Reverse Osmosis (RO) Plant installed at one place, having a capacity of 6500 m3/day, was inaugurated recently by Sharjeel Azhar, CEO, Al-Ittefaq Steel Products Company (ISPC), a group company of Al-Tuwairqi of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The inauguration of state-of-the-art Ultra Filtration and Reverse Osmosis Plant marked a major milestone in the completion of the TSML DRI Plant; the first private sector integrated steel manufacturing complex in Karachi.
The Reverse Osmosis is the plant where raw water is filtered, cleaned and processed to be fed to the DRI Furnace. The pH level, algae and concentration of the suspended matter in water is controlled through various filtration processes.
