Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms Ahsan Iqbal has pledged to provide gas facility for the people of Narowal without any discrimination, saying that the gas project was envisaged by the PML-N but the PPP had shelved it for its political gains.

He inaugurated a SNGPL facilitation counter at the Narowal TMA offices. He vowed that the PML-N government would complete the gas supply project in Narowal on priority basis.

Ahsan added that his party's government was fully aware of the problems being confronted by the masses and was making an all-out effort to ensure a solution to these problems. He said that these problems were inherited by the present government from the previous governments. He said that the PML-N government had taken the energy crisis as a challenge and was moving towards right direction and goal of getting rid of loadshedding of electricity across the country.

The federal minister added that the PML-N government was committed to making Pakistan as envisaged by Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. He said that the PML-N was a political party of the "loyal" politicians and was striving to protect the ideology of Pakistan.

Ahsan claimed that the national economy was now moving towards the goal of economical stability, and added that the democracy and democratic system in the country was also strengthening due to the economic and political policies of the present government. He said that the government would steer the country out of energy crisis and Pakistan will be made loadshedding-free-country within the next three years.

The federal minister narrated that the government was making hectic efforts to overcome energy crisis, as the government had also developed an effective mechanism to overcome the menace of theft of the electricity.

Later, talking to newsmen, he narrated that getting rid of the worst energy crisis was not an easy task, as the crisis had grown up by the former rulers in years and now years were required to overcome the the energy crisis, which had perturbed the life of every one and ruined the national economy. He said that it would take time to end the persisting energy crisis despite the PML-N government had started work on emergency ground. MPAs Khawaja Muhammad Waseem Butt and Ramaish Singh Arora were also present on the occasion.
