SADIQABAD

The newly elected chairman of the Rahim Yar Khan Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Management Committee, Mian Bashir Ahmad, said that holding of transparent and free elections of the chamber was his top priority.

Basheer was honoured with a reception by Mian Muhammad Sharif, the chief executive of Jaguar Pakistan Limited and member corporate of the chamber. He said that he would come up to the trust posed in him by the Founder Group's leadership especially its executive committee members. He also pledged to work for the development of the chamber and the welfare of its members through consultation.

He said that political and legal differences had caused an irreparable loss to the chamber and the business community of the district.

He pledged to hold the chamber's elections at the earliest and to promote democratic and moral values in the business community's institution. He also said that all out resources would be utilised to solve the members' problems. He said that September 14, 2013 was a memorable day in the history of Rahim Yar Khan, adding that on the day, the business community of the district's representative institution - RYKCCI - was handed over to its elected leadership.

Pakistan Rangers Col Sajjad, Maj M Latif, Anjuman Kashtkaran Panjab vice president M Yaseen, Asghar, Jaman Khan, Shoaib, Muzaffar, Shaukat, Zahid, Rizwan, Jehangir, Irshad and Mazsood were also present. On the occasion, Mian Sharif said that unopposed election of Mr Basheer was a proof that the members had full trust in the latter and acknowledged his capabilities.

TRUST POISED IN CHAIRMAN: Sadiqabad citizens including Farhad, Tariq, Zahid, Naeem, Afzal, Khaliq, Usama, Qamaruzzaman, Faiz, Waqas and Ilyas said that  the unopposed election of Mian Basheer as chariman of the chamber was a good omen for the businessmen of the district. They said that Mian Basheer, who has been nazim of Sadiqabad tehsil, was a business and administrative expert.
