LAHORE - The Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust and the Tehreek-i-Pakistan Workers Trust Tuesday organised a ceremony to mark 6th death anniversary of Rana Abdur Rahim, father of Punjab Minister for Education Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, at the Aiwan-i-Karkunaan-i-Tehreek-i-Pakistan.
The Nation Editor-in-Chief and NPT Chairman Dr Majid Nizami, NPT Vice Chairman Prof Rafique Ahmad, Khawaja Mahmood Ahmad Advocate, Ch Naeem Hussain Chattha, Justice (r) Khizar Hayat, Khawaja Imran Aziz, Dr Parveen Khan, NPT Secretary Shahid Rasheed and a large number of Muslim League workers attended the ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Majid Nizami said that Rana Abdul Rahim had been the most devoted and loyal worker of the Pakistan Movement and the Muslim League.
Prof Rafique Ahmad expressed the hope that the education minister would devise and implement a comprehensive education policy, since it brings about creative and innovative thinking.
Rana Mashhoood Ahmad Khan paid tribute to Dr Majid Nizami for his journalistic services. He also lauded NPT’s role in creating awareness among the youth about the Two-Nation Theory. He promised to bring about all the missing facilities to the 57,000 schools in Punjab. Merit, he promised, would he given precedence over everything else, as it is the only way to set the country on the path of progress.
Meanwhile, the students and teachers of the CDG Boys High School Shahdara Town on Tuesday conducted a study tour of the Aiwan-i-Karkunan-i-Tehreek-i-Pakistan. They also visited the picture gallery of the Pakistan Movement.
Moreover, the Ideological educational mobile units visited the Government Degree College for Women Bilal Gunj, Allama Iqbal College of Technology Mouj Darya Road, Government Boys and Girls Millat High Schools Mughalpura, Allied School System Sandah, Government Wazir Ali Middle School Sandah, Happy Home English High School Imran Park and Government Girls Elementary School Bhutto Colony and delivered lectures on the Ideology of Pakistan.
