'Captain Asfandyar Bokhari was brave, valiant and down to earth'

ATTOCK: Captain Asfandyar Ahmad Bokhari who was killed in the PAF Camp Badhber operation earlier today belonged to Attock. He was part of QRF (Quick Response Force) and embraced martyrdom while fighting/leading from the front .He was awarded "Sword Of Honour" after the completion of his training at Kakul in Oct 2008.

He passed his secondary school education from Fauji Foundation School Attock and joined Cadet College Hassanabdal from where he did his FSC and later joined the Pak Army. He was the eldest son of Dr. Fayyaz Bokhari. Out of his two brothers, Shehryar Bokhari is abroad for higher education while Ehsan Bokhari, the youngest is a student of MBBS.

Asfandyar, as per his friends and teachers, from the very beginning was fond of joining the Pak Army and would talk of ridding his country of  the terrorists who are great hurdle in the development of Pakistan.

His friend and class fellow Syed Hussain Naqvi, while talking to this scribe said that last time, during a chat  Capt Asfandyar told him that soon you will see that Asfandyar will be fighting directly with the terrorists and said that he will play hell with them and he proved it well while fighting in Badhber against the terrorits.

Hussain Raza said that Asfandyar was a brave , valiant and down to earth human being. Tanzeela Ashfaq Chaudhry, a teacher of Asfandyar, while talking to this scribe said that Asfandyar was an intelligent , outstanding  and obedient student. he was man of character and was brave boy. He will be laid to rest in Attock this evening with full military honour. His father, during a brief talk with this scribe, said that he was proud of his son who sacrificed his life for his motherland.
