Two men electrocuted to death in Haripur

TARBELA GHAZI - Two men were electrocuted to death while crossing the corn field in the jurisdiction of police station Saray Saleh Haripur on Saturday.

Police have arrested the land owner and registered a case against him.

Reportedly two men Hasrat Nawaz, son of Riaz and Zil-e-Shah, son of Zafar Ali Shah resident of Village Mankaray in the jurisdiction of police Station Saray Saleh Haripur were on the way to home at late night.

When they reached near village Gaar and were crossing a corn field and suddenly they touched the iron fencing while crossing the field.

The iron fencing was erected around the field by its land owner Abdul Samad to protect his corn crop and he released electric current in that fencing at night.

When Hasrat Nawaz and Zil-e-Shah were crossing the corn crop field they touched the fence in ignorance and died on the spot while receiving the electric shock.

Next morning when people of the village saw their dead bodies, they informed the police regarding the incident.

SHO police station Saray Saleh Haji Muhammad Ishaq Khan reached the spot and shifted the dead bodies to Women and Children Hospital Haripur from where dead bodies were handed over to their families for burial after fulfilling the legal formalities. Saray Saleh police has arrested the land owner Abdul Samad, resident of Saray Saleh after registering a case against him under section 322 PPC on the application of one Syed Fazal Ali Shah.
