RAWALPINDI - Ballots papers for local government elections to be held on April 25 in areas of cantonment boards would be received today (Sunday) with strict security arrangement.

CEO Rawalpindi cantonment board Fahim Zafar Khan told the media persons that returning officers or their notified representatives would bring the ballots papers from Lahore election commission office under supervision of officers of police and Pakistan Army. Work for holding local body elections in cantonment areas has become challenging for elections cell staff of the cantonment board. The staff members are working day and night for ensuring smooth conduct of polls.

He said that all arrangements for holding elections have been completed and polling staff has been appointed for their duties. Meanwhile, Chaklala cantonment board authority has sent letter to police high-ups to ensure strict security management on April 25 for 58 sensitive polling stations. Elections cell staff of cantonment board visited various polling station to review the arrangements.
