A condemned prisoner was executed here in the District Jail early Saturday morning.
The Anti-Terrorism Court Multan had issued death warrant of convict Manzoor Wasli three days ago.
Vehari District Jail Superintendent Babar Shah told to The Nation that Manzoor Wasli, a resident of 159/EB Gagoo Mandi had murdered a police constable Fida Hussain during a dacoity in the remit of Sahiwal Fateh-e-Shair Police in 2001.
Meanwhile, a court issued black warrants for the execution of another convict Zahid Hussain who is imprisoned in District Jail Sahiwal. He will be hanged on April 22 in Sahiwal.
