Rawalpindi - Two dacoits impersonating officials of Strategic Planning Division (SPD) snatched a motorcycle and cash from two citizens at gunpoint in the jurisdiction of Police Station Kahuta, reliable sources confided to The Nation yesterday. Police registered a case against the dacoits on the complaint of the victims and launched hunt for the accused, sources said.

According to sources, a citizen Raja Zafar Mehmood of Panyali village appeared before officials of Police Station Kahuta and lodged a written complaint that he along with his cousin went for fishing at a nearby dam. He noted that they were returning home on motorcycle when two unidentified men stopped them and pointed guns at their heads. He said that the dacoits impersonating SPD officials asked them for body search. Later, they snatched motorcycle, Rs 10,000, 750 dirham and a wrist watch and ran away, he mentioned in the complaint.
