Rawalpindi - An event titled ‘Istehkam-e-Pakistan Seminar’ was held by Nizam-e-Mustafa Party here at a local hotel yesterday.
The seminar was attended and addressed by caretaker of Eidgah Sharif Pir Naqeeb-ur-Rehman, former Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sahibzada Hamid Saeed Kazmi, Gen (Retd) Ghulam Mustafa, defence analyst, Haji Hanif Tayyab of Nizam-e-Mustafa Party, Sahibzaba Adnan Qadri from KP and Sahibzada Jabir Shah from Abbottabad.
The speakers condemned the recent wave of terrorism in the country. They said that the menace of corruption is interlinked with terrorism. They demanded Chief of Army Staff Gen Rahil Sharif to break the nexus of corruption and terrorism.
Haji Hanif Tayyab said that the ruling class does not want to implement National Action Plan in its true letter and spirit. He demanded the law enforcement agencies should enhance the operation from Karachi to interior Sindh and throughout the country, especially in Punjab to break the backbone of terrorists.
He also criticised Punjab government and police for their poor planning in Rajanpur operation against Chottu gang. He advised Ulema to approach Federal Shariat Court for amendments in constitution regarding provision of exemption to the ruling elite.
Speaking on the occasion, Gen (Retd) Mustafa expressed his reservations on implementation of NAP. He said that all corrupt organs have been united to dysfunction NAP, as they are afraid from its implications. He advised general public to stand up against all these corrupt elements.
Sahibzada Hamid Saeed Kazmi said that conspiracy has been hatched by international actors to fail NAP and operation Zarb-e-Azb. He said that the people should stand by the armed forces to get 100 percent results of their sacrifices.
Pir Naqeeb-ur-Rehman requested the armed forces to carry out a comprehensive operation against the terrorists. He said, “We would fully support them on every step that they would take for stability and survival of our motherland.”
