Rawalpindi: The Nanbais have  increased the price of chapatti by Rs 1  besides decreasing its weight by 40 gram to 50 gram per roti in all the localities of Rawalpindi city and cantonment.

The nanbais are enjoy free hand to sell  the roti at higher rate due to absence of check and balance system  on  3,000 tandoors  (ovens) across the city.

The locals holding the District Price Control Committee responsible for  hike in the price of bread have demanded an action against all of those who are selling  bread  far less in weight than the standards set by the district administration.

When contacted, Assistant Commissioner Cantt Dr Sataish,  said that immediate action is  taken against the Naanbais who are found involved in selling underweight bread and cases also registered against the violators in this regard.
