President Musharraf has recently issued a statement that India is responsible for the ongoing unrest in Balochistan. While the government has remained silent on this issue, I am glad to see the President come out in the open and give Indians the response they deserve. The Balochistan affairs should be a cause of concern for us. The corrective steps need to be taken as soon as possible. It is, indeed, sad that the PPP government has done little for Balochistan. Musharraf has been the only sincere leader who had taken any interest in the development of the province. He did everything done so far, from building of the Gwadar port to allocating a fairer share of resources to it. PPP has not even followed up on what Musharraf had done in the province. -DINA JAFFAR, Lahore Cantt., via e-mail, August 5.
