ISLAMABAD (Online) - PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif has said that the country was facing worse power crisis for which China could be helpful and it can provide its expertise as well as investment. He expressed these views while talking to Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Lou Zhao Hui who called on him in Murree. Matters of Pak-China strategic relationship, bilateral issues and power crisis in Pakistan with special reference to load shedding were discussed in the meeting. Talking on the occasion, Nawaz Sharif said that his party was playing its role to help out the government in bringing the country out of economic, political and security crises which the country was facing due to the dictatorial regime of General Musharraf during which all the institutions were destroyed. Moreover, extremism and violence were the results of the long years of military rule during which the Constitution was abrogated and the rights of the citizens were violated with impunity. Talking about Chinas role in the development of Pakistan and its contribution towards strengthening of Pakistan economy, Nawaz said that Pakistan and China had firm ties since Pakistan had emerged as a sovereign state in the world. China has played vital role in the development of Pakistans social sector. Talking on the occasion, Chinese Ambassador conveyed the well wishes and greetings of Chinese government to Nawaz Sharif and lauded his positive and constructive role in the country. He said that his government and the people were highly concerned over problems faced by the people of Pakistan due to load shedding and assured the PML-N leader that his countrys would support to Pakistan to come out of its current economic crisis. He lauded the role of PMLN in strengthening of democracy and democratic culture in Pakistan, its principled stance on all national and international issues. He hoped that PML-N constructive role within the parliament and outside it would bring political stability and establish new healthy traditions in the country. He said that his country realises that Pakistan was facing enormous problems due to terrorism and extremism and the Chinese government and the people were determined to take help Pakistani nation during this very crucial time. Chinese Ambassador was accompanied by his family whereas PMLN Quaid was assisted by the Senior Advisor of CM Punjab Saeed Ahmad Mehdi and Dr Asif Kirmani.
