LAHORE - The trials to select the regional teams for PHF Junior U-18 Super Hockey League have started at respective centers on Tuesday. The two days trials for Lahore Badshah will be started from today (Wednesday) at National Hockey Stadium (Pitch B) at 5pm. The players who born after January 1991 from Lahore, Sahiwal, Okara, Kasur, Nankana and Sheikhupura will be eligible to take part in the trials. The trials will be observed by team manager Khalid Rasool, coaches Olympian Anjum Saeed, Olympian Muhammad Sarwar, Muhammad Rasheed and Shahid Aslam. The other regions where the trials have started are Karachi, Larkana, Quetta, Peshawar, Abbottabad, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Multan and Islamabad. The Junior Super Hockey League will be played under flood lights at Hockey Club of Pakistan Stadium Karachi from 1st to 18th September. The league will be played under the new format. There will be three halves of 25 minutes in every match, while the prize money of 2 million rupees will be distributed to the players and teams.
