The British Prime Minister Gordon Brown in his Ramadan message to the Muslim communities in the UK and around the globe has said the message of compassion and justice is strong in Islamic faith. He said this message is strong not just in the holy month of Ramadan but a universal one that unites the humanity. Brown said Britain is a country of around 2 million Muslims in a Europe of over 20 million and the country is a better place today because of its diversity and openness. Our culture and society are stronger because of the contribution Muslims make everyday, he said. As British Muslim communities across the United Kingdom prepare for Ramadan, starting next week, Brown wished a peaceful and blessed Ramadan to the faithful.
