Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation Director General Samina Pervez Khalid has assured complete cooperation for the promotion of transmission quality of all the PBC Units of the country as these Units are the best source of communication, information, education and entertainment and Radio Pakistan has performed the role with distinction.

She expressed these views during an interview aired by PBC, Bahawalpur in the Prime time programme on the eve of the 39th anniversary of Radio Pakistan, Bahawalpur's inception which was set up on the directives of former Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and started its regular transmission on Aug 18, 1975.

The PBC DG underlined the need for boosting quality of programmes and search the writers of well repute for the production of quality programmes which could improve image of the station and attract listeners.

She said that she was quite happy with the new talent and programmes presented by different Radio Stations of the country during the month in connection with the Independence Day celebrations.
