MIRPUR (AJK)-Local Bodies elections in Azad Jammu & Kashmir will be held in December this year, said AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider.

Addressing a ceremony of Women Action Forum in the capital city on Thursday, the AJK PM assured that the PML-N government is committed to holding the local body elections in Azad Jammu & Kashmir in all circumstances in December this year.

Farooq Haider underlined that the percentage of the unemployed people in AJK is more than that in Pakistan.

“We will leave no stone unturned to provide employment opportunities for the jobless people of the state. Due to lack of career counselling and inappropriate guidance of right issue, our new generation is inclined towards terrorism,” he pointed out. The AJK premier reiterated that he would stand by merit, justice and victim hood and his government would do away with bad governance and corruption at all costs.

While speaking about the rights of women in AJK, he announced that he would soon create a separate complaint cell for women in Prime Minister Secretariat in MuzaffarabadChairperson Women Action Forum Shaheen Kousar Dar, Bilqees Rasheed Advocate, Taqdees Gillani, Asad Qureshi, Raja Raza Ali Khan, Raja Mubashir Ejaz, Bashrat Mughal also addressed the ceremony.
