ISLAMABAD - National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has received an application from Benazirabad Solar Power (BSPSPL) for a 20MW solar PV plant at Shaheed Benazirabad district in Sindh. The project, to comprise of 78,431 solar panels of 255Wp capacity, will cost $27 million, provided by 75 percent debt and 25 percent equity. BSPSPL plans to sell the power generated to HESCO. Meanwhile, National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) on Thursday approved Rs0.39 per unit increase in K-Electric tariff. A hearing, in this regard, was conducted by Nepra in which K-Electric suggested increasing the rate by Rs0.45/ unit, but the authorities refused and agreed on Rs 0.39 increase.
