On Monday, 8 August 2016, a deadly attack shook Quetta. At least 70 people were killed and over 100 others were injured when a bomb exploded inside Quetta’s Civil Hospital. Targeted killings have become increasingly common in Quetta, the capital of a province that has seen much instability subject to separatist insurgency as well as sectarian tensions and rising crime. Apparently Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) splinter group, Jamaat-ul-Ahrar (JuA), has claimed responsibility for the bombing. However, the Chief Minister of Baluchistan, Sanaullah Zehri, has claimed that the Indian intelligence agency, RAW was involved in subversive and terrorist activities in Baluchistan.

Indeed, the Indian intelligence agency RAW is involved in destabilising Pakistan. India is behind the insurgency in Baluchistan which will divert Pakistan’s attention from the Kashmir issue. On 29th March, RAW orchestrated terrorist activity in Balochistan. The plan was to bomb Chinese nationals who were staying at a hotel in Gwadar and working on a deep sea port construction project. India will definitely try to curb Pak China friendship. As Pakistanis, we should all unite to against all forces that are looking towards putting Pakistan at disadvantage.
