Constable shot dead, one injured in Karachi

Police head constable was killed and one person was injured for resistance during a robbery in the Karimabad area of Karachi during the wee hours of Sunday.

According to police sources, the incident took place near APWA girls Collage in Karimabad area.

The robbers were trying to loot a shop when the head-constable, Muhammad Imran -son of Qasim - posted at Sharifabad police station, resisted against the robbers and he was shot dead. While, Javed Ali, son of Abdul Majeed, was critically injured.

The body and the injured were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for medico-legal formalities and treatment, respectively.

The police have registered the case and started further investigation in incident. However, the funeral prayer of the martyred head constable Muhammad Imran, will be offered on Sunday at Deputy Inspector General of police (DIGP) west office.
