Lahore: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has summoned former chief minister (CM) Shahbaz Sharif to record his statement regarding Ashiana Housing scandal, Punjab Power Development Company (PPDC) and clean water cases on Monday.
NAB Punjab has directed Shahbaz Sharif to personally present in court to record his statement in the clean water corruption case on 20 August at 11 am in the morning and at 2 pm again in PPDC case.
The former chief minister has been called in PPDC case over charges of illegal appointments. The summons for the Ashiana-e-Iqbal housing scheme case issued over revelations made by former principal secretary Fawad Hassan, when NAB had investigated him.
Fawad Hassan Fawad has been accused of misuse of authority and awarding contracts to favourite persons illegally in the housing scheme when he was the secretary implementation to Shehbaz in 2013.
NAB has been investigating on corruption of millions of rupees in 56 companies’ corruption case.
