Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has nominated Aitzaz Ahsan as its presidential candidate on Sunday.
According to the media reports party Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari named Aitzaz for the post of president.
Yesterday, PM Imran Khan nominated senior PTI leader Arif Alvi as the party's presidential candidate.
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) announced on August 16, that the presidential election will be held on September 4.
Voting for the presidential election will be held in the National Assembly and the four provincial assemblies from 10 am to 4 pm.
According to the schedule issued by the ECP, nomination papers can be filed to the presiding officers in Islamabad and the four provinces by 27th August.
On August 29th scrutiny of the nomination papers will be conducted, while candidature can be withdrawn by 1200 hours on 30th of this month. The list of validated candidates will be published the same day at 1:00 pm.
