SARGODHA - The Satellite police station house officer has been issued a notice and was ordered by the court to book the investigation officer for not registering a case against the persons who sexually molested a woman by holding her nine-month-old baby at gunpoint.
The accused raped Saba Aslam, a resident of New Satellite Town, by threatening to kill the baby however the police did not take an action against the accused. The court issued a show cause notice to the SHO and ordered him to register a case Under Section 155c of Police Act against the investigation officer.
Earlier, she had filed an application with the court of Additional District and Session Judge Nazir Ahmed Chaudhry, pleading that she had contracted marriage with Khurram Shehzad with her own choice one year ago. She told in her application that on October 23, 2012, accused Rafiq, Imran and Yasin kidnapped her with the assistance of a woman namely Aziz Fatima.
They took her in confinement for 10 days and during that period they kept raping her by threatening to kill her baby.
The victim also alleged that the police were unwilling to take an action against the accused whereupon the judge issued the notice and ordered registration of a case.
CLERK REMANDED: A Labour Department clerk was remanded in custody of anti-corruption police on the charges of impersonating himself as labour officer and taking bribe.
Shahid Iqbal was arrested by the police during a raid led by a judicial magistrate while the former was receiving Rs25,000 bribe from the owner of a filling station for issuing fitness certificate. The police also had recovered Rs97,000 from his possession filed a case against him.
