LAHORE - Pakistan handball team won silver medal in the International Handball Federation (IHF) U-21 South West Asian Handball Challenge Trophy losing the final to arch-rivals India on Tuesday in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Indian side won the final 40-20 taking advantage of injuries to two Pakistani players, said the information made available here.

Yemen bagged bronze while Afghanistan took the fourth place followed by Bangladesh as hosts Nepal finished at sixth place. By virtue of playing the final, India and Pakistan qualified for Asian men IHF Challenge Trophy being held in 2013.
