LAHORE – Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust (NPT) Women Wing Convenor Begum Mehnaz Rafi said Quaid-i-Azam was well aware of women role in the national development for the establishment of a model Islamic welfare state.
Addressing the lecture series on ‘Quaid’s thoughts and Role of Women in National Progress” on Tuesday at Aiwan-i-Karkunan-i-Tehreek-i-Pakistan, Mehnaz said women took an active part not only in the establishment of the country but also in the nation building. Quoting the Quaid she said there were two powers in the world, the sword and the pen but women were more powerful than the two. She said the youth must be communicated about the Pakistan Movement.
The women must contest elections on general seats, she stressed. She demanded of the government to remove the discriminatory laws about women. A large number of teachers and students attended the sitting.
Begum Surayya KH Khurshid will deliver the fourth lecture today (Wednesday).
NPT organised the lecture series in collaboration with the Pakistan Movement Workers Trust.
Meanwhile, the students of Jamiat Public School Gulshan-e-Ravi on Tuesday visited the Aiwan-i-Karkunan-i-Tehreek-i-Pakistan to attend Aghi programme of Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust (NPT). They also visited the Pakistan Movement Gallery on the occasion.  Also, mobile ideological units led by their coordinators visited Sir Syed Cambridge McLeod Road, Hazrat Aysha Siddiqa Degree College Nicholson Road, New Sir Syed Cambridge School Jamshed Town, Government Girls High School Jamshed Town, Government Boys High School Mohlanwal, Government girls Primary School Mohlanwal, Government girls Higher Secondary School Dev Samaj road, Government Elementary Girls School Dev Samaj respectively.
The institution heads presided over the ceremonies in the said institutions. In their lectures, they lauded the NPT’s role in disseminating the Two-Nation Theory to the new generation.

SPEECH CONTEST: NPT in collaboration with the Pakistan Movement Workers’ Trust organised a speech contest on Tuesday among school students regarding 136th birth anniversary of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. The topic was “By uniting ourselves we can make Pakistan one of the biggest states”.
The winner students will be awarded prized on December 25 at a special ceremony.
