Punjab speaker knows uneducated youth go astray

LAHORE - Speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Muhammad Iqbal knows it full well why the youth go astray leaving their education incomplete.
“They take to drugs and go astray because they don’t get timely advice from anywhere”, he observed while addressing a conference on drug control arranged by Drug Free Pakistan Foundation here at a local hotel on Wednesday.
He said that in a situation when country is facing problems like terrorism, corruption and unemployment, it was imperative to impart timely guidance to the youth to stop them from going astray.
The PA Speaker said that government as well as parents should play their role to create awareness about bad effects of drugs on human health.
He asked the government to arrange awareness programmes, seminars and conferences for the youth to keep them on the right track. “Our educational institutions should also run courses to aware the students about bad effects of narcotics”, he affirmed.
Rana Iqbal also stressed the need for imparting skilled education to the youth so that they could become useful citizens after getting employment in the field of their expertise.
He also highlighted the importance of information technology for the students, saying that it was the age of computer and they must be imparted such an education to excel in their relevant disciplines.
