Omega Club win 16th Quaid Basketball opener

LAHORE - Omega Basketball Club won the opening match of the 16th Quaid-e-Azam Gold Cup Basketball Tournament 2021 played at International Abdul Nasser Basketball Court Aram Bagh, Karachi. 
The tournament was inaugurated by former international basketball player Muhammad Yaqoob in the presence of Karachi Basketball Association President Ghulam Muhammad Khan, Sindh Olympic Assocation Associate Secretary Master Asghar Baloch, KBBA Secretary Tariq Hussain, Ghulam Abbas Jamal Advocate, Shahzaib Raza and others. Usman Club Patron M Haider Khan presented a gift of complete kits to the officials of the tournament. 
The opening match between Omega Club and One Unit Basketball Club proved to be a hard-fought encounter, where after a tough battle, Omega Club won it by 52-46. From the winning team, Asad Abid emerged as top scorer with 20 points, while Shayan Qadir scored 16 and Farhan Patel 10. From the runner-up side, Athar Rana was top scorer with 14 points while Fahad Khan and Ali scored 10 points each. The inaugural match was officiated by Amir Ghyas, Ashraf Yahya and Ghulam Muhammad Senior while technical officials were Raj Kumar Lakhnavi, Amir Shareef, Naeem Ahmad and Zafar Iqbal.
