ISLAMABAD- Capital Police foiled a dacoity attempt arresting eight including two Afghan nationals and recovered illegal arms from their possession, police official told Wednesday. Police also recovered 4 pistols,1 rifle along with 56 rounds, one cell phone, 105-gram heroin and 400-gram hashish(charas) from their possession. As per details, Margalla Police had received information that some suspected persons were present in Sector G-9 who were planning a dacoity. On the tip-off ASP Margalla circle directed to SHO Margalla to conduct a raid immediately. A team of the Margalla police conducted raid and arrested 3 accused including two Afghan nationals from Sector G-9. Interrogation officer of Margalla Police, ASI Muhammad Iqbal told TheNation that police had presented three criminals before the court here on Wednesday and got two days physical remand. He said that during preliminary interrogation it was revealed that the Afghan national Muhammad Anwar and Taza Kahn both were living without legal documents. Their third partner Zahid Shah is a resident of Bajaur Agency. Investigation officer further said that during their body search, three pistols of 30-bore with 19 rounds ropes and masks were also recovered. "During the preliminary interrogation the accused had confessed committing of a number of dacoties in the different areas of Islamabad," Iqbal added. Meanwhile, Allah Dad Sub Inspector of PS Tarnol arrested 2 accused Qamar Abbas and Raiz Hussain and recovered a 30-bore pistol along with 5 rounds and 400-gram charas from their possession. Muhammad Bashir Sub Inspector of PS Sabzi Mandi arrested a man Said Alam Khan and recovered 105-gram Heroine from his possession. Ghulam Jalani ASI of PS Secretariat arrested an accused namely Raja Saeed and recovered a snatched mobile phone amounting to Rs3000 from him. Manzoor Ahmad Sub Inspector of PS Golara during patrolling arrested one alleged criminal namely Ajmal Shah and recovered one 12 bore gun along with 37 cartridges from him. Cases have been registered against all the accused and further investigation is under way.
