The current crisis is going to be settled but what we are left with are very bad memories. We had the umpteenth emergency that could have caused collapse of the system and clash of the institutions etc, etc. Net result? Low out put in business at stock exchange, diversion of economic flows, worsening of law and order, gloom, despair and all of that which is thought to be bad for the economy and country. Finally, the dust is settling and a shining sun of harmony and co-existence is rising in the corridors of powers. We just might have a blooming spring in this country, after all. -NOOR AHMAD KAKAR, Islamabad, February 18
