SIALKOT - Federal Minister for National Regulation and Services Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has strongly condemned the hooliganism at Iqbal Manzil, the birthplace of Allama Iqbal and demanded strict action against the culprit. Talking to media here on Monday, the federal minister alleged that the Punjab government had totally failed to maintain the law and order across the province and the incident took place at Iqbal Manzil was the result of poor and insufficient security at national heritage. The minister said that it was very unfortunate the culprit entered Iqbal Manzil and dare dashingly damaged the rare photographs of Allama Iqbal and termed the incident this nasty was highly condemnable. The culprit should be tried in Anti-terrorist court for rigorous punishment to stop such happenings in the future. The minister said that the PML-N totally failed in taking practical steps for fulfilling its promises made with the people, adding the incident of Iqbal Manzil was the ample proof of failure of Punjab government.

Meanwhile, people from all walks of life including trade bodies, political parties, literary and cultural organisations have strongly condemned the incident and demand the strict action against the culprit.
