Dasti decides to join PTI

MNA Jamshaid Dasti has decided to join the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf soon, and said that his political support is for PTI as its chief Imran Khan is the only opposition leader in the Nation Assembly and doing true politics in the country.
Talking to newsmen along with PTI Deputy Secretary General Umer Dar at Jinnah House Sialkot, Dasti narrated that he had principally decided to join the PTI during a meeting with PTI Chief Imran Khan. Dasti said that Sharif brothers were very terrified of “growing popularity” of the PTI. He alleged that the PML-N government had already decided to sell out all the national institutions under the guise of privatisation.
He said that the flawed policies of the PML-N government were paving the way for tsunami of unemployment in the country. To a question, Dasti said that ‘Waziristan war’ had now entered Punjab due to wrong interior policies of the government. He noted that both the PML-N and PPP were alike as they patronise each other’s corruption and hoodwink the nation. On the occasion, Umer Dar alleged that PML-N and PPP were safeguarding each other’s interests and they possessed corruption gangs across the country.
VARIOUS PROJECTS LAUNCHED: Gujranwala Division Commissioner Khawaja Shamail Ahmed approved the establishment of “Baab-e-Sialkot” and advised the district administration to prepare a design of the gate showing the culture and history of Sialkot.
He said it would also increase the beauty of Sialkot city, leaving the fresh and eye-catching impacts to the visitors. It would contain the rare pictures and famous poetry of Allama Iqbal and Faiz Ahmed Faiz.
He visited the proposed site for the gate at Miyaani near Sialkot along the main Sialkot-Daska Road. He directed the officials of Sialkot Tehsil Municipal Administration and district administration to chalk out a comprehensive plan for the beautification of Sialkot.
The commissioner revealed that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif were taking keen interest in the socio-economic development and beautification of Sialkot.
Earlier, presiding over a meeting held at Sialkot DCO Office, the commissioner pledged to make an all-out effort to make Sialkot a model district of the Punjab following its global trade, industrial and export significance. He said that Sialkot deserved to be a model city. He added that Sialkot would soon be made a model district by raising the living standard of the people through ensuring early provision of all the basic facilities at their doorsteps.
He ordered immediate start of tree plantation campaign in Sialkot district. He expressed grave concern and dismay over the inordinate delay in making Sialkot-Daska Road dual. He asked the Sialkot DCO to jazz up pace of construction of the road and establish green belts along its both the sides.
He also directed the TMA to preserve the centuries-old Sialkot Fort in its original shape and design. He announced the establishment of a recreational park at the place adjacent to the under-construction building of Govt Khawaja Muhammad Safdar Medical College Sialkot. Sialkot DCO Iftikhar Ali Sahu, District Officer (Coordination) Sialkot Malik Abid Hussain Awan, Administrator Tajamal Abbas Rana, EDO (Finance) Sialkot Nadeem Sarwar and Managing Director of Sialkot Solid Waste Management Company Rana Azhar Ali attended the meeting.
