Impose emergency in Pakistan: MQM

Islamabad- Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Nabeel Gabol has demanded the imposition of emergency in the country to improve law and order situation.

During a meeting of the National Assembly standing committee for Interior, he demanded the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to impose emergency as per Article 232 of the constitution.

Gabol reacted aggressively over the ongoing dialogue process with the Taliban and said it should be halted. He said that the country was in a state of war and there was no question for peace talks with Taliban.

Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N), Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) rejected the demand during the meeting.
