LAHORE - Noted religious scholar and Rahimia Institute of Quranic Sciences Director General Mufti Abdul Khaliq Azad Raipuri has said that we need a system of justice irrespective of any caste or race, equal economic empowerment opportunities, political stability and a system that could ensure peace to solve our contemporary social problems.

He said that change could be brought through dialogue, not through violence and militancy. He was addressing a seminar on “Solution of Contemporary Social Problems in the Light of Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH)” at PU Al Raazi Hall on Tuesday.

PU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran presided over the seminar while Dean Faculty of Islamic Studies Prof Dr Tahira Basharat, Dean Faculty of Behavioral and Social Sciences Prof Dr Zakria Zakir, faculty members and a large number of students were present on the occasion.

Mufti Azad said that Quran and Seerat must be studied to seek solution to our contemporary social problems. He said that the political system must be based on the ideology of peace for all and must be irrespective of religion, sect etc. He said that we must promote ideology of humanity but unfortunately we had adopted the ideology which was dividing the mankind.

He said that Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) introduced revolution and established an ideal society based on justice, peace and prosperity and there was need to establish such society today to solve the problems being faced by the mankind.

Dr Kamran lauded his thoughtful address and said that Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) and all other Prophets came to unite us but unfortunately we had divided ourselves into sects. He said that the change which occurred in the hearts was the real change.
