MUZAFFARGARH - A man named Akram buried alive a 6-year-old girl namely Zahra on the advice of a fake spiritual healer in Baat Mir Hazzar Khan, tehsil Jatoi, 75km from here.

The girl was given an anaesthetic injection before lowering her into the grave. She was shown as dead to everybody by the accused. Her funeral prayers were even offered by a local cleric named Abdul Razzaq. Police arrested the fake Peer when information about the act leaked out. Akram was a neighbour of the girl’s parents. The childless man had adopted Zahra. She was taken out of her grave after two days of being buried alive.

When Zahra came to visit her original parents she looked extremely terrified. As doubts rose for the reason of her scare, the secret was finally revealed by the crying girl as she told the real story. Police have arrested the accused.

Lawyers’ strike enters 7th day: Kamalia lawyers continued their protest and sit-in on seventh consecutive day on Wednesday to condemn the alleged misbehaviour of Kamalia AC Syeda Ramala Ali with the lawyers. TWO HELD: A Federal Investigation Agency team from Lahore raided a money exchange company in Sialkot city’s congested Bano Bazaar and arrested dealers Hammad and Asad for doing illegal business of “Hundi”.

According to FIA officials, the team also seized Rs9 million in cash, laptops, a big number of manual receipts of money transfers.

It has arrested the accused and sent them behind bars after registering a case against them. Meanwhile, Satrah police have registered a fraud case against village Goliyaan Satrah-based Muhamamd Ejaz for presenting his fake police character certificate before the Ministry of Interior Islamabad for getting job.
